It’s fascinating how people (I would say millennials like me, aged between 28-38ish) talk so much about anxiety, therapy, inner child and healing these days. More so, this openly. Realism they say is trending.

Like I have seen conversations between a group of people, and how casually one can ask if they have ever had a panic attack in their life and no one gets offended. Interestingly, this to me seems a good way to get to know more about the person, how much depth they hold and ‘how well do they know themselves’. Is this an indicator of inner work that someone is doing? To me yes. Does it mean someone who has never had a panic attack has had an amazing (non-traumatic) childhood? Maybe.
It’s also interesting how, when you want to know about a person beyond surface level, you would want to know about their childhood, how they were between ages 3 and 7 and maybe between 10-12 grade?
Is there a scientific explanation to this? They do say in psychology these are the formative years and eventually decide how a person turns out be as an adult. Intriguing right?
People have divided views on therapy. Is therapy good? I would say depends. Are there good therapists. A 100 percent yes.
But are there bad therapists? I have heard, yes!
It’s probably about finding a therapist that works for you and is your safe space. Do I advocate therapy. YES. That way, you look less foolish in a world of fools! 😀
